Welsh Darts Premier League Champion Wayne Warren ( Tynewydd ) gave an absolutely brilliant performance against the World No1 and World Champion Mark Webster, Although Wayne Warren hit 14 x 180s and 77 ton plus scores it was the Champion of the World Webster 3 x 180s 66 ton plus scores who threw 23 darts at the doubles with 18 connecting. The evening started with Mark being escorted to the stage by the lovely Carla and Kirsten, Carla is in the Miss Wales Competition and with both young ladies being sponsored for the evening by Wedding Secret of Caerphilly looked absolutely fabulous in the gowns supplied by Emma (Wedding Secrets), Wayne then followed in quick succession by this time I was getting very excited and forgot to wait for the Young Ladies to get back so they had to hitch the dresses up and run back just in time to meet Wayne for his Walk on.
Atmosphere was amazing with a crowd of die hard Warren supporters packed into Tynewydd labour club Mark really had stepped into the lions den , But this young man is something special, Warren was dazzling the crowd with big out shots and spectacular 180s, Webster was 140 and 134 and 171s for fun and his finishing well if any of the home nations had finished like Mark we would have been watching them in the Euro Finals instead of having to be dragged of to the beach, 5 x 11 dart legs 12,13,14,15 we only had 2 18 dart legs out of 31 thrown Mark winning legs ave 14.34 Wayne Warren 14.64. Wayne Warren was truly magnificent and gave a brilliant performance on behalf of the Premier league. But the people of Wales know this Mark Webster is a true gent, a fantastic credit to his parents and a brilliant World Champion will he win again only time will tell he is a wonderful credit to Wales and I wish him only the very best for the future.

Wayne Warren (Welsh International and Welsh Darts Premier League Champion) Gave an absolutely die hard performance against a player that I believe will probably win Bdo World Championship at lakeside this year Darryl Fitton, Was in sparkling form against Welsh Champion Warren, With a crowd of over 200 and with an entrance worthy of any World Stage, The two players gave an demonstration of proper darts Darryl kicking of with a 180 and ave 37 per dart leading 4 – 0 Wayne found his range 13,11,13,12 and with Darryl taking the last leg before the break in 12, Everyone present knew we were in for something special & so it was Darryl restarted were he had left of and extended his lead to 8 – 4 Wayne Warren again responded 14,13,13 to trail 8 – 7 Darryl then leads 10 – 7 Warren takes the last leg of the session with a 155 finish with Darryl sat on tops after 12. Darryl leads 10 – 8 With the sessions taking between 15 – 20 mins everybody is having a good time, Brilliant Darts, Fantastic Crowd the anticipation for the next session is electric, Again Fitton just doesn’t miss anything and displays the form that saw he see of Phil Taylor in Holland only 2 months earlier, Darryl 180, 140 and with Wayne matching him but not having shots at doubles because of the quality of the Fitton game Darryl leads 15 – 12 Having had 2 x 11 2 x12s and a 14 Warren winning legs 13,13,14 and if Wayne hadn’t been playing his absolute best game this match would have been dead and buried. After a 10 min break both players walk back on to the stage to a standing ovation everybody in the room realizes this match is a very special one, Can Wayne Warren come back you bet your life he can 15 with the throw Darryl throws a 180 Warren responds 180 Fitton 140 Wayne 180 Darryl 140 Wayne leaves 36 after 9 Darryl hits big 9 has 32 left wire bounce out finally Wayne can break the man from England, Hits 36 in 1 dart 10 dart leg crowd going absolutely ballistic holds throw with a 13. This game tied at 15 – 15 now Wayne has but everything he has to come back is there anymore can he do it not today Darryl Fitton is World no3 because he closes games 14, 12, 14 the crowd have witness a truly awesome game of Darts we had screams of delight moments of despair but most of all entertainment all night and it was a pleasure to be there and witness it, The standing ovation lasted a good 10 mins and everyone went home happy.
